Here at the Kadillac Ranch, we take great pride in our horses and all of the
horses we work with every year. We provide breaking and training services and
are grateful for all our repeat and new coming clients. Thank you all for
giving us the opportunity to work with your families and horses each year! Here
are just a few of our success stories and happy endings
Jasper, an 11 year old red roan paint gelding, came to us underweight and pretty bossy. After some much needed tender loving care, this gentlemen has found a very wonderful home! Jasper is now at a home with a family of new horse lovers and is loved dearly! Thank you so much Karrie Brown for loving Jasper as much as we have! Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of horses!
Ghost
Ghost, a 3 year old POA gelding, left our family and went on to make a young girl a very wonderful best friend! Ghost went to Jenna, a 15 year old first time horse owner who just fell in love with our beloved boy, she has given him a great home where he is greatly appreciated and spoiled! Thank you Jenna and Amy Jorgensen for giving this handsome boy the home and love he deserves!
Coach
Coach, a 13 year old paint gelding, came to us this spring with a very positive and with the willingness to work but was quite a pushy fella and terrified of storms and water crossings, he was with us for 60 days and went home a changed man! Coach now loves the water and doesn't bat an eye at a passing storm. Coach was a joy to work with and went home to loving parents who were very happy with him and his progress! A big thanks to Angie and Eric for the opportunity to work with such a gentle giant! Enjoy!
Sweetie
Sweetie, a 4 year old TB mare, came to us this spring in need of being broke. When Sweetie came to us she stood at around 14 hands, when she left she was pushing 15.2 hands! Sweetie was a pleasure to work with and was one of the quickest learners we have had out to the farm. Sweetie went home to an eight year old little girl so she could be spoiled like she deserves! Thanks Tamara, we enjoyed everyday working with Sweetie!
Peek-A-boo
Peek-a-Boo, a 4 year old BLM Mustang gelding, came to us this spring afraid of his own shadow! This big boy has defiantly been a challenge but a very rewarding challenge. Peek has taught us many things while being taught himself. We have taken him on many rides including Pilot Knob in Forest City Iowa. While peek is a scardy cat on the ground, he will do anything asked of him when on his back, he has completely awed us and has been the biggest pleasure to work with by far! Being a wild mustang, he is naturally very well aware of his surroundings and he thinks and operates in a whole different way than a horse that has domesticated since birth. Peek will be going home to a very loving family in Missouri to be a noble trail mount! A huge thanks to Terry for the greatest experience of a lifetime!
J.Lee and Wheelie
J.Lee a 14 yr old quarter horse/paint mare came to us this spring needing a refresher coure along with her pal Wheelie, a standardbred, who also needed a refresher course and to be sure he was safe for a young boy to ride as it was his new horse. Both J.Lee and Wheelie rode like a dream and went on many trail rides with us around the area, both crossed water and went over and through covered bridges along with riding along a busy, traffic filled highway without batting an eye. J.Lee was worked on being mounted from a mounting block and worked with riding in a hackamore. Wheelie was worked on going out on his own and introducing him to many things in the outside world. Both horses went home to very happy owners and Wheelie has a future in competitive trail riding and J.Lee will continue to be a great pleasure trail mount. Thanks to Laura for giving us the opportunity to work with your beautiful horses!
Jackie and Lily
Jackie, a 18 yr old paint mare, and Lily, a 14 yr old paint mare, both came to us a little on the wild side and were needing to go home kid safe for the grand children. We defiantly had our work cut out for us when it came to these too! ;-) Jackie was rode by her own a couple times a year so just needed some hours in saddle, with Lily however, she had not been ridden much for quite some years so she needed a little more attention. Both horses went home sound, safe, and a pleasure for the grand children who now ride the two mares around the yard without a fuss. We enjoyed the challenge that both Jackie and Lily gave us and they were joy to work with. Thanks Rich! Hope your grandkids enjoy Jackie and Lily as we did!
Floyd
Floyd, a Missouri Fox Trotter, was owned by us and has now moved on to be a girls best friend, be used as a 4-H mount and a childs first horse. Floyd was a very kind hearted with a very willing personality. Floyds goal everyday was to please his rider and that's just what he did and he continues to do. Floyd was used at a horse camp in Missouri giving trail rides all day to both experienced and inexperienced riders of all ages. His new owners came to us looking for a child safe horse who would be good for a first time horse owner and Floyd was the first one to mind. Floyd has a great girl to love and take care of him while spoiling him with his favorite treats, APPLES! Thank you so much Jason and family for giving Floyd the wonderful home he deserves!
Lily
Lily, a APHA reg. two yr old filly, went to a knew home where she was a young girls project horse. Her new owner was looking for something that had all the ground work finished but wanted something she could start under saddle as her first horse to break. Lily was the one who came to mind. She was very laid back with a very willing to learn attitude and she worked to please. Lily loved her baths under the hose on a hot day almost as much as she loved to be brushed! She is now enjoyed by her new owner as much as we enjoyed her!
Spur
Spur, a four year old dun QH gelding, went to a home in Wisconsin who's new owner is a father and daughter who were looking to get into roping and cattle work and Spur was the perfect candidate! Spur is cow bred and knew his way around a cow! He is now enjoying his new life with a job to do everyday that he absolutely loves! Spur will be missed but is being enjoyed as much as we enjoyed him!
Hank
Hank, a four yr old TB gelding, went to a first time horse owning family with four children who wanted a first horse they could grow with and use for 4H and other events. Hank plays this roll like it was meant to be! Hank enjoys childrens company and to be crawled on, brushed, bathed, and spoiled rotten by them all! Hank was a rescue case, when we got this sweet boy, he was full of worms and serverly under weight and had no energy to fight for food. After coming to the Kadillac Ranch, he no longer had to fight ten other horses for food and got the treatment he needed and packed the pounds on. After he was up to weight and was healthy he found his new forever home!
Blue
Blue, a four year old blue roan QH mare, went to a knew home where she was given the job as a barrel racer and other timed events. Blue is quick on her feet and loves to work. Thanks so much to Heather for giving her the great home she deserves!
